How Should You Prepare For Your ST
Application?
Step 1. Decide
- Which specialty(ies) you want to apply for
- Which level you should apply at
- Which location you want to live in
Step 2. Plan
- Set aside 3 or 4 hour long blocks of time spread over a
few days to fill out your form
- Speak to your referees to ensure that they remember you
and that they have time to fill out a reference - you may
want to write a letter to them, giving them your name, the
dates during which you worked with them, the roles that you
undertook and the highlights of your post from yours and
the departments point of view
Step 3. Prepare
- Look up the Person Specification for the post and level
that you want to apply
- Register with
- Fill out the Demographic Style Details
Step 4. Check
Step 5. Submit
- Please make sure that you don't miss the deadling
Step 6. Start your Medical Interview Preparation
- Gather the required documentation
- Consider organising your rota at work so that you are
not meant to be doing any late shifts or night shifts in
the run up to your anticipated interview dates or consider
organising a back up cover system amongst your colleagues
so that you can all be rested in the run up to your
interview
